Used Fuel Injectors swap..

I have a set of 26 lb/hr injectors I had on my previous 93 Z28 with mods. I kept some of the old mod parts including these injectors. I had 7000 miles on them used from previous car. I have added some mods to my LT1 but I am still using stock 22 lb/hr injectors with high mileage on them. I would like to add my newer 26 lb/hrs on my present Z28, so the question is are they gonna be OK to use since they have been sitting back in their box for a few months? Will they need cleaning? How does someone clean an injector?
Thanks!!

Do a on line search, there's a few places that will clean/flow test your injectors for like $5 each. That's probably your best insurance to make sure they all work.

Since they're 26# as opposed to the stock 22# units, I presume you have gotten or will get tuning for it???

And as always with the shameless plug, if you haven't hit up the speed density LT1 website, link in sig, stop on by because we're always looking for new people.

If there was no problem with them when you took them out, I would just clean the inlet and tip of them with some high powered spay solvent and get the tuning done with install.

But if youre not sure just have them cleaned professionally off the car, or have them cleaned installed , most mech shops have the set-up to do it.My local chevy dealer has a set-up that hooks to the shraeder valve and with the fp fuse removed they start it up and run it til it dies, cleans then like a champ (the kit is made by 3M I beleive)

Thanks guys! I am gonna call around and get some prices on getting them cleaned/checked. I have so many projects in the box & storage waiting to do on my car it's crazy. Finding the time to do em is soo hard! I leave August 11th for Army duty! I'll try to at least get this done!:p
