Do i need to upgrade springs if i am putting in an LT4 Cam?

Or is it possible to use the stock ones?

I am not upgrading to 1.6 rockers, i am leaving them stock.

 

The stock springs arent going to be able to handle the LT4 cam..my understanding is the LT4 springs from the kit are JUST good enough to work with it.

 

are you talking about the lt4 hotcam or just the regular lt4 cam? the hotcam with or without 1.6 rr's is going to require new springs, as for the lt4 cam, im not sure on the lift of it, i know that it is a little calmer than the hotcam

 

get the lift specs of the LT4 cam..then email these guys and they will tell you what spring will work..springs are very important...you may want to look at something you can put Roller Rockers on.. http://www.cmotorsports.com/93-97-fb...ine-valvetrain ..if not these guys some supporting venders of this site will surly have the springs/retainers/locks that you will need.
