Upgrading the engine
 

I'm starting my engine class( we get extra credit for working on our cars as projects) a lot sooner then I thought and was wondering if its a good idea to get some good heads, port intake, and get a a nice cam then get a good 4 bolt block and put on the stuff listed above or just slowly working on putting the new engine together which would take me till about summer time( budget )?

I am not sure exactly what you are asking, but you don't need 4-bolt main caps for a basic heads n' cam car. OTOH, if you are starting fresh and are looking to get a "new" block you might as well start with a 4-bolt block.
