Unplugged IAC and car ran, what the problem (93 input need too)
OK so the IAC was mesing up the car and making it not start. I know i know bad IAC right. I dont think thats it because it was working before i did the motor swap. (97 motor and harness into a 93)
So i guess i need someone brain to think of why the IAC would not be working correct on this new setup. I know it might take some hard thinking but my brain is now tired and i dont have any knowlege about 93's BTW i had to chop up the c220,c230 and c210 pigtails up to get this setup to work |
Try the IAC reset. Also make sure you don't have a huge vacuum leak somewhere.

I had a similar problem after rebuiling mine last summer. My brother had "fixed" my map sensor coonector but got the wires backwards. So when the MAP was plugged in the sensor supply voltage dropped to 3.25, unplug it and had a nice 5v reference. Just a shot in the dark but maybe the IAC is shorted or some of the wiring has a short and is doing the same as mine.

Did you swap the throttle body bottom plate/IAC to match the wiring harness you have in the car? Or did you put a 93 IAC connector on the end of your 97 harness?
|
engine and harness are both from a 97, i had to do some re routing of wires where the harness goes into the interior
