I'm gonna run this weekend for the first time with the mods below and some sticky's. Someone told me unless I got subframe connectors that I shouldn't run it cause I might tweak my frame. Is there a great chance of this????? Don't wanna do all this work and screw my frame up.

 

you dont have a "frame" to tweak. yes it will twist the unibody around,but 1 time with slicks usually isnt enough to do an damage. hell i ran slicks for a few months before i got SFC's and i have a T top car,no major issues at all.

SFC's will tighten the car up AND help it launch.

 

were you running those times before you had your SFC's?

 

Yes, tweaking the frame is possible, and yes, you should invest in some subframe connectors if you will be launching the car hard.

After several hard launches with no SFCs, you'll notice the fenders/hood/doors etc will start tweaking and not lining up perfectly anymore. You'll also start to notice more rattles and squeaks.

i had SFC's LONG before i ran 11's. i did run multiple 11.3's with no rollbar(aka rollcage),and that started twisting the car a lil bit,but with 1.5x 60' things are gonna move.

 

So do you guys think I should wait to get the SFC's????? That would suck. I had plans with my friends already.

 

1 day wont hurt it,go have fun,just dont make a habit out of it.
