Tuning
Anybody care to share experiences with mail order tunes. I want a custom tune and don't know who to go with. I see that pcmforless charges $99.00, Ed wright - Fastchip charges $350. I know nothing about tuning these cars and need some input on where to go. Thanks.

he did mine and hes a great guy. i have not heard one negetive thing about him.
if you ever want to tune your own car dont use ed he "locks" the pcm where hes the only one that can touch it after that. and hes way to expencive.

Bryan charged me $15
And he had my fans turn on at a lower temp, increase spark (I believe) bump my idle up to about 1000 and fixed my A/F ratio! I'm hoping for about 8-10 HP out of it, and I think that;s worth the bang for the buck!
I have no clue why Bryan charged me so little...maybe money was great for him a few weeks ago and he liked my SN or something....I'll have actual HP #s on Saturday.

For the same money usually at the right shop you can have your car tuned. Its not a guess, its the best solution for your car. There are three shops that do it locally and it can be done from 140-220 an hour. Usually it only takes an hour. I just feel a lot better know its not a educated guess.
