true duals?

i'm planning on buying Jethot long tubes soon without emissions. i want to run each side bact with no cats to bullet mufflers and then exit them before the rear wheels( side exhaust ) my car is a 97 SS and it is lowered. i'm not really worried about clearance but does it matter if i dont run an X, H or Y pipe? will it sound good?
i know somebody who has a 01 WS6 with this set up but hes got them going out the back.

will a tricked out LT1 sound any better than a LS1?

Sure it will sound excellent, just beware it is not for people that want a mellow exhaust it is LOUD when you stomp it. It's all about flow. I have custom built 3" true duals off my long tubes, It sounds real good, ground clearance does drop some, but hell who cares. If you use no h or x pipe you won't balance the sound at all and it will effect it , it won't sound as clean, it may pop due to not being equalized. Flowmaster/ Sumitt sells a h pipe kit which I used its 50 bucks you weld it up however you want it. You may want a x pipe instead , I coudln't find any when I did my duals about two years ago.
Hope that helps. If you need more help email me , it's in my sig.
visit my site it has some pics etc..
