Having broken 2 tranny mounts in the past 2 years, I figured I'd put in the high performance one and be done with it. I thought the only draw back was "rougher shifts". Apparently that's not the case and at 70mph I can feel my cheeks tickle from all the vibrations, and the CD holder in the console jumps up and down like a bowl full of jelly.

Has that happened to any of you guys with the stiffer mount or did I do something wrong?

lol yeah thats what it seems like to me, your not alone!

 

Not all cars exhibit the same amount of vibration, but yeah that is just what they do.

 

The irony is, the shifts are the same if not smoother than before.

 

I agree. When I had one in my car, I really liked the way it felt at a gear change.

 

I had a vibration problem at certain RPM ranges. When I bought my PTS 9X11 torque converter, after installation my baby is smooth as silk.
