Transmission Help Needed *Opinions*

Well its time for a new transmission in the 93 Z28, when calling around to Local Shops, they want around $900-1300 to rebuild, and that is back to stock. Most offer a 6 month, with 1 year being the max warranty.

Now I called the dealer and the price for a new 93 Transmission would be $1375, but this route I would have to do the install (No biggie ), and buy fluids... But they offer a 3 year / 50,000 mile warranty.

What is your guys opinion on this, basically the time in which they guarantee the work is what scares me. Is it worth an extra $300 and a few hours for a GM transmission?

Yeah don't go with stock.
If it breaks it's time to replace it with something better.

He's in Cincinnati. He does all of the work on my car and I've never had any problems.

On a side note, prices may have changed a bit since the last time he was able to update his site. Your best bet is to shoot him an email to get in touch with him.
