buying a rebuilt 4l60e on e-bay... they are mad cheap... 600/650 bucks... new is 1700.... is that safe? one of em even says it is stage 10 rebuilt for 650ft lbs of torque and 800 hp... but it has 5,000 miles after the rebuild on a "bolt-on modified camaro"...

would you do it?....

they ALL offer some kind of warranty... 6 month or 1 year...

 

I am giving it a try. Of course the guy is 2 and a half hours away, I can meet him, look at his shop, pick up tranny(save on shipping). Mine comes with 6 month warrany. Hiperformance 700r4. I researched the guy thru his feedback forum, also emailed some people. They were all pleased with their trannys and say they are woking fine.We all KNOW it doesnt cost 1700 to rebuilt sheet.Thats the ripoff! Mine is about 700 if I pick it up. Has everything built in it.I will take the chance,I can let you know how it turns out this fall. Looking forward to second gear rubber again!Pickerman
