traction control?

I swapped a LS1 rear-end with traction control into my 95 lt1 and i was wondering since i don't have tcs on my lt1 could i just get the wiring hook up for the two speed sensors on the wheel or do i have to buy a whole new abs ecu that is for traction control?

I believe they are different. On my 95 that had tcs, there are two brake lines (one for each rear wheel) and the non-tcs have just one so you might also have to do some different plumbing if you want tcs.

Yes i have to brake lines as well. I already swapped the rear-end i just didn't plug in the speed sensors because on my old rear-end i didn't have tcs i was wondernig if i got the harness for the two sensors would it still work with my ecu or would i have to convert that as well.

Along with the brake line stuff you'd also need the system that hooks up to the throttle wire and backs it off when slipping is detected.

well I don't know anything about the two systems, other than people say they don't work together, but if the sensors are the same you might be able to make them work. I suppose if they are you might be able to splice the exsisting wire harness into two seperate ones going to each wheel. I suspect though that the single runs off something in the pumpkin where as the others run off the axles, so this might confuse the whole system and not work properly. I would be interested to know if there is a way of doing this, might have to get some manuals and do some research. I imagine if it was just the matter of splicing a few wires people would be doing it. On the other hand, many people hate traction control and sell them, plus wrecking yards should have plenty you could convert over too, if you can't find any other solution.

Your speedometer runs off a sensor on the transmission not off the rear axle. The sensor in the pumpkin (ABS only) or the sensors on each axle (ABS/TCS) are only used to compare individual wheel speed compared to the wheel speed of the front wheels (to determine if there is loss of traction - one moving faster than the other). So if all you did was replace the rear axle your speedo should still work. If you changed the rear gear ratio your speedometer will work but give an incorrect mph and milage. You correct that by editing the PCM.

thanks a lot for the info. When i get the wiring harness for the two sensor will i have to splice any wires because i had the old one sensor (ABS) on the pumpkin or would the connectors connect right into the old one?
