Totalled my Z71 today. Seatbelts are my friend

WEAR YOUR SEATBELTS! I got rear ended today. My Z71 is a goner. I had a 454 engine in the bed, It was knocked into the air and flew out of the truck bed the impact was so hard of a hit(it cleared the tailgate and sides!!!). I got both shoulders hurt but otherwise OK. I'm gonna have to make my Z28 my daily driver for a while. I'm almost scared to get back on the road again. Be careful out there.

a 99 4 door pontiac grand am hit me @ 45-50mph. I have a solid heavy steel farm bumper with a shock hitch on the rear that iz welded and bolted to the frame. that bumper was knocked all the way up into my left rear tire and flattened it. My RADIO was KNOcked out of THE DASH !! and on to the floor board. My driver's seat was knocked loose from being bolted except for 1 bolt didnt get broke off!!

SORE

sore all over really. shoulders have limited range of motion. Lorcet and Miller Lite will make it all better..lol..jk..Just Lorcet. ok maybe a beer or two tomorrow. I'll be off work and at home with every body part aching. I was sitting still. he hit his brakes right before he hit me. he skidded 15 ft from 55-65 mph. I still can't believe he launched a Chevy Big Block out of the back of my truck!!

Glad to hear your okay other than some bruises and soreness. My best friend died in a car accident last week. He wasn't wearing his seatbelt. Its been the toughest week I've had in my life. ALWAYS WEAR YOUR SEATBELT!!!!!!!!

Absolutely. My car does not move til everyone buckles up.

Good to hear you were not seriously injured. Vehicles can be replaced, people can't.
