Question Torque converter or LTs??

I was wondering what would be better to buy right now. A 3000+ stall torque converter or some LT headers?

Re: Torque converter or LTs??

That's a tough choice. Depends on the converter, you can buy it AND have it installed *if you're not doing it*. Compared to headers, y pipe, cats if you need it, o2 sims/extensions etc., PLUS installation *again if you're not doing it yourself*. I say get the LT's to open up that LT1 and get a great sound and some extra ponies. I was kind of in the same situation, but I chose the headers. When I get a converter, I'm waiting till I get heads/cam, rebuilt tranny and a Strange 12 bolt.

Wait till you get cam and/or heads done, then get a TC that matches the rpm range of your setup.
So get the LTs first.

Another vote for LT's first. Thats the order I did it in.....Torque converter's are awesome, but I need the extra power and sound first.

I would go with the stall converter 1st.
