im putting a CC503 in my 94 z28 and i need to know if i could get away with re-manufactured push rods(stock) and valve springs(stock) with 1.6 roller rockers...would i have enough clearance for valve travel?

Re: top end
PTV clearance is hardly ever an issue with these motors, especially on a mild cam-only build. You'll be fine.

Re: top end
If I'm not mistaken, you will need to move to different valve springs. The pushrods will depend on what type rockers you select(SA or NSA).

Re: top end
This is the exact camshaft I chose a few weeks ago, and I love it. You can re-use the stock push rods as long as they are in good shape and not bent. If in doubt, replace them. The stock valve springs will not work, because the coils are too thick and will not have enough room to collapse with the higher lift cam. At least that's what my engine specialist told me when I was getting my machine work done. I would use the comp cams beehive springs, locks & retainers, and magnum 1.52 or 1.6 roller rockers. If you are looking for a cam, springs, locks and retainer package from comp cams, I know where you can get a great deal. www.atlanticspeed.com is where I bought mine after doing heavy research. They also have a site on ebay. The cam and springs, roller rockers etc. will run you about $700. You will love this cam setup.

Re: top end
Well i already have my cam...this is my first engine rebuild and i want to do it right without having any problems down the road...the roller rockers i have r the proform 1.6 self-alligning rockers...i had my heads resurfaced and valve job at a machine shop but didnt tell them i was puttin a cc503 in my car..all the pushrods r good had them checked...so i really just need to know if i really need different springs....everything so far is brand new and i would hate to screw it up bc i didnt do something right

Re: top end
Springs must be upgraded. They are on a fine line of coil binding on the stock cam with 1.6 rockers. Your in there already, do it the right way.
