Tire Size

I have stock rims on my 95 z28, and plan to keep the rims, however I have a good offer on some tires. the size on the car now is 245 50 16, which I assume is stock. the tires I want to put on are 205 55 16, has anyone run this size?, and if so will they work on my stock rims?
any pics?
thanks Dave

Getting a "good deal" on the wrong size tires isn't really much of a "good deal". Those tires will be about 3/4" smaller in diameter than the stock size, requiring a small speedo correction reprogramming. And they are recommended for a 5.5" to 7.5" wheel width. They will look bad on your 8" wide stock wheels, and will not handle or wear correctly.

Other than that.... it a great deal. :)

those will be almost .5" shorter

i wouldn't do it...

if all you needed was a tire to run to and from the track...maybe...but for daily driving...no way

lol 205's???? no way no how id do it even if the tires were free. Even when i had my 225's traction was still bad, but when i got my 255's traction was awesome. Personally i wouldnt go bellow 245's

It would look horrible, you would have no traction, and your handeling would be a joke. Dont do it!!
