Tire rotation question??

I was wondering when you rotate your tires can you just simply move the tires from the back to the front or do they need to be re- balanced?? Will this mess up the alignment at all?? My tires are already balanced so do I need to get them done again when they change axles or not??

I just want to know if I can do this myself.

Thanks in advance

you dont need to get them rebalanced, but if its been around 5-6k miles since it was last done, might as well have it done. Also, if the tires are the same size all around they can be roated. If not, you can swap them side to side, if they are not directional.

If they are the same size all around, and not directional, what we do at work is bring the front tires straigt back, and cross the rears over to the front. Also, roataing them only shouldnt mess up your alignment, otherwise we'd be recommending alignments to lots of customers

If you have Goodyear GSC's, you can only go front to back or back to front. They are Left and Right side tires.
