Tip of oil pressure sensor broke!
I've broke the very tip (hollow threaded part) of the oil pressure sensor off in the block, does anyone have a tip or know of a tool to help remove it? I've taken the intake off, but there is nothing to put a socket or grab on to - it's only the very tip. I've tried using the sensor by pressing down to back it out, but wouldn't catch or move.
btw.. it's a 93 lt1 (but sensor in 94+ location) in a 98 s10. |
Re: Tip of oil pressure sensor broke!
Do you have a tap kit? Can you make a notch in it with a dremel and use a screw driver to take it out?

Re: Tip of oil pressure sensor broke!
use a easy out, should work in the hole in it, no drilling
if you have to drill, prime the oil pump before reinstalling the new sender(to flush the shavings from the hole) |
Re: Tip of oil pressure sensor broke!
Thanks for the suggestion Dave89Iroc. I went and bought a set of Easy-out's and had it out in 5 minutes.
Thanks again, Dustin |
