On an LT-1 at what mileage does the Timming chain usually begain to show wear?

My 1995 Z28 has been to the track many times and run hard with stock timing chain and at 141,000 miles; it still kicks butt, 13.56 in the quarter @ 103 mph and drives like a dream on the street. High revs and poor lubrication can shorten the longevity.

They're pretty strong... but on average when do these htigns begain to break down?

 

I had 148,000 on my stock chain and when I rebuilt the engine I replaced it for the sake just replacing it while I was there, it didn't show much if any wear, the connecting rods gave out before it did

 

While they do last a long time, keep in mind that they do stretch rather quickly.
