Timing Chain Questions

Hey I heard you can use a regular 350 timing chain if you use a electric water pump? I was wondering if this is true? Also what options could I consider for a new timing chain?

You can use a regular SBC timing chain (87 and up with a roller cam variety) if you use an electric pump. I used a Cloyes True dual roller setup and CSI electric water pump. The two together cost less than a LT4 Extreme Duty timing chain.
