timing chain

if the timing chaing is placed one tooth off will the engine refuse to start up? or will it run very poorly?

I would look and make sure your opti got put on right. If its installed one hole off the car might not start, at least mine wouldn't

not necessarily. you would either be advancing or retarding it a link. it will start, but probably run poorly.. worse case senario you can bend pushrods if its off too much

It may idle, but have little or no power. It could depend on which direction it was off.
