Thud, knock

I've got a thud/knock comming from the front end. I think it could be my shocks. Is there any way to "test" for bad/worn shocks? Also, what is the color of the stock shocks and what brand are they? I think this may be my next project......if i can afford it!!!!

Oh yeah, forgot to say that it happens when going over bumps and such. Is there a way to "test" shocks??? I'm thinking they are original tho.
Thanks

I have the exact same problem. I've replaced every piece in the front end except the rubber shock mount. I think it's possible that it is worn.

Here's the problem...They are De-carbon shocks and they suck horribly. Pull them off...smash them to pieces...Burn them...Never look back!!!

Those shocks don't belong on these cars. Switched to QA-1's like a totaly different vehicle now.

But on another note Check to make sure all your Shock housing bolts are in place and not loose. Have you pinpointed exactly where you think the sound is comming from? Try Jouncing the front end up and down with the hood open.
