Ok so the other day i was driving around in my 95 a4 z28, going about 15-20mph, reved at a friend going by, nothin big, and my car kept revving when i let off the gas, the tach stayed right where it was between 2k and 2.5krpms. stopped at a light right there, through it in park and it stilled stayed right there, by now everyones lookin at me cause im runnin 3" eddlebrock catback with headers and a dump. It was still revvi after puttin it in park so i turned it off. When i started it right back up it went right back up. Gave it a good rev again and it went back down. Any idea what happened? Almost felt like the throttle froze up. My TPS is less the 4 months old and so is my iac

Sounds like a throttle cable problem. Next time, shut it off and look under the hood at the throttle lever to see what it's position is.
