Thought my converter was stock but...

When I pulled the trans today..the converter is PINK!

Anyway to ID it? There is a date and 4L60E written on it in marker. The only thing I can find on it is "D9" repeated all the way around the perimeter. It's stock diameter I believe.

You might want to call Precison Industries they make the Vigalente converter. I believe thats what you have there. Mine is a vig too and its also pink. I dont remember any number painted on it though but I could be wrong.

Hope that helps a little,
Claude

thanks, I've had a vigi before, but it was a 10". I am not sure if this is a vigi or if it's a restalled stock converter. I have heard SLP used colors to designate stall speed.

I'd like to find out what stall this converter is, since the trans goes back in tuesday and I have to decide between putting this back in or the 2400 yank I have...

Timberwolf,
I just called Precision Industries, They said they dont know what that D9 Stands for but they said if its a Vig converter it will have a part number stamped on the converter on the Flywheel side.

Hope that helps,
Claude
