Supercharging a 306

After I get my heads done, I'll probably save up for a S/C. My buddy seems to think that isn't a good cam combo. I was kinda thinking the same.

The 306 has a 112LS, which is less than ideal for a blower setup. Don't get me wrong, you'll still make power, but some of that expensive boost is going to get blown past the exhaust valve. This is why all blower grind cams have no more than a 114 LS.

If you know for a fact you are going to be running boost, I'd just save for a blower grind camshaft.

Hmmm so the 112 lsa doesn't go good with a boost setup... Damn I already have the cam and like it. Maybe I'll go a different route.

I never got to find out how my GTP 6 cam would be with boost (235/242 .568/.592 114), but I did at least get it with a 114 lsa. I just got a new cam so I could pass emissions. The new grind is from Combination Motorsports and is their 224-XL (224/236 .535/.555 115).

STILL don't have a blower.... LOL.

I went for a ride in a car with the 112lsa GTP 6 cam in a 383. He was running 12psi pulleys and seeing 10psi over 6400. Car ran like a raped ape! So you'll still enjoy the cam. But in my opinion.... with a centrifugal blower it might be better to make peak power closer to 6000 instead of the nearly 7000 of a GTP 6 or cc306 cam. A little less stress on the short block :D
