summit throttle body?
summit throttle body?
i was looking a throttle bodys today and saw that summit had there own brand tb. i did a search on them but the last post about them was in may 06 did anyone get one by now? are they any good? i know the old saying is you get what you pay for but that isin't all ways the case..
Re: summit throttle body?
i have an ebay unit...couldnt be more satisfied. i have the 52mm and will be stepping to the 54 when i decide to get the new heads (going with trick flow ported, thinking aobut a single plane setup on them)...any way...they did excelent work, smooth cuts, clean, new bearings and smooth operation. no sticky throttle or blades that dont fit right.
with all the problems with bbk/holley i'd rather save money, support a fanatic, not have to fix a brand new unit and just bolt it on with no problems...just me though.

Re: summit throttle body?
i was thinking about getting a 58 mm allthough i'm going to hold off on getting one because i just bought a set off HIDs for my bmw. So no one has got a summit TB yet? I know there are some cheap people out there that got one because of the price..
Re: summit throttle body?
From what I have read, its a universal style that can be used with different linkage connection in the kit....
But I havent heard of anyone trying it out yet........
You could be the first......

Re: summit throttle body?
The best thing about it is that it is from Summit, so if you don't like it, you can always send it back. I've never had an issue with their customer support, and that is with them breaking stuff, UPS breaking stuff, and my one time install goof.
Just my $.02
But be sure to let the rest of us know..
