Thanks..:D |
I ordered a genuine AC Delco opti from "thepartsladi" (ebay store). I had heard some good things about it and I gave them a try. $268 shipped, came in about a week (in AC Delco box). Cars up and running again.

great, I also was considering the Summit opti
it seems to be a good price-@ 249.95 even cheaper than the ac delco and accel's that are going for $299.95....but is it worth the savings?????? compare: http://store.summitracing.com/Compar...veSKU=MTT-6540 |
spend a little extra cash and get the GM unit. if you search optispark in the forums you will a million opinions, and a million problems.

Think of this. I wanted to save some money and I order a JEG's brand opti. Installation went smoothly, everything seemed fine. Not even two weeks later, car dies on the freeway onramp. I open up the brand new opti to find the rotor, screws, and washers sitting at the bottom. I know what you are thinking...thread locker would have prevented this. Think about this though. The reason I bought a new opti was because I was throwing a p0336 and the car was backfiring and stumbling. While the backfiring and stumbling went away with the new opti, the p0336 did not, cleared it several times and it always came right back. So I read some threads about "thepartsladi" and I ordered an AC Delco opti. Installed it, code disappeared, car runs great. So you make your own decision.
