Stutter

I noticed that when I throttle down, after the car is already moving (30 MPH) it seams like it wants to shift gears but gets stuck somewhere in the middle, hesitant and jerky, it only happens when I depress the throttle slowly or trying to accel slowly, I have to feather it to get it to respond right.
Does anyone have any ideas?

does this happen at all speeds or just at the 30mph area?

i'm thinkin if it is only at 30mph, than it could be right at the spot where the converter is locking up and it basically gets caught in between.

when was the last time you changed tranny fluid/filter?

This is a long shot from the information given, but check the O2 sensors. If they are going bad, you'll get a shuddering.
