Stupid Question #3: Reinstalling the Opti

We're about ready to re-install the opti and have the timing marks lined up and everything in order. On the back of the opti, there is a 1 and a 6 posted on it. The clover looking piece I noticed has one particular notch (like a keyhole) However, the way it would mount on the cam, the keyhole would be set with the 6 on the opti. Is this correct? If not, how do I need to install the opti to make sure I get everything right?

Thanks for any help!

God I'll be glad when I finish this swap!

Here is the link for the above mentioned install guide:http://www.streetillusionsracing.com...ll/Cam/cam.htm

The clover notch goes over the cam dowel and is the only way to install the Opti. Good luck,

Kyle

Yup. When the timing marks are lined up on the sprockets the engine is at #6 firing position. Both dots pointing up at 12:00 would be #1 firing position.

It does not matter where the dowel is, as long as you put the special slot over it. It will be in perfect time. The 1 and 6 are only there for reference.
