strut tower brace

strut tower brace

I did my plugs today and undone one side of my brace(hotchkis) and raised it to get to the dreaded front passenger. when i went to bolt it back in it isnt lining up any sugestions?

so you left 1 side bolted down and lifted the other? you probably bent it then. take it off completely clamp it down to a workbench and try to bend it back into shape, try and fit it, adjust it again, try to fit again, and so forth.

if your cars in the air try to put it on the ground. i had a simular prob because my car was at an angle on a slope. put it on a flat surphase and prob fixed./

how could something that holds that much preasure bend that easily??? it rotated on the bolt on the other side smooth no hassle. Its like a 1/4 inch off toward the the passenger side like the driver side is pushing it. Is it under a load?
