Question Strange smell after TB bypass and exhaust

I just got my car back today I had my Hooker Cat-back put on, and the Throttle Body bypass done. After driving around I realized there was/is a strange smell like something burning you can smell it strongly inside the car. I dismissed it as the exhaust just getting broke in. But when I got home I popped the hood and the smell hit me. Would exhaust breaking in cause that much smell to get to the engine? Or could that be a problem arising from the TB bypass?
thanks

A new exhaust smell will often permeate the entire car. It's also possible that you got grease or coolant on your exhaust manifolds/headers and it's just the smell of it burning off.

i second that, just double check those bypass lines to make sure there is no leak, and drive it for a couple days at the most. The smell should wear off

Very easy to install .. .easier to install then one I put on my 3rd gen a year or so ago. Mines been clamped since I installed it with no leaks. And I actaully like the hooker tips, look almost like the stock tips, except the ends arent rolled in like the factory

Don't let him fool you! If they are the same dual 3 inch chrome tips I have and the same dual tips that came on the car, they look much much better!

I have the ling too, but its not for sale . You can pick them up for I think 139ish brand new from lingenfelter.com. It will work the same as a K&N,SLP,etc...

And go with madz28.com for your tune :yup:

Well shoot they went and raised the price. You can probably pick a a used CAI no problem for 100 bux here.....Like I said you will get the same results from any of them but the G2, stay away from that one

I've had good luck with the Moroso more than once. Just stay away from the K&N. It cracks and looks like crap!
Hey Birdman, hows the Guard treating ya?

Real good, real good. Keeps me busy and happy, and supports my car modding bug . You in or interested?

You don't remember me? Man, I sent you parts about a year ago from my wrecked car. Roller rockers, and such! I used to be at Sta. Galveston.
