I just put on whiteface gauges and my temp and oil pressure look a little funny. On average, what is oil pressure at idel warmed up and say going 40mph (stock 93 Z/28 A4 3.23). Also, what is normal warmed up temp? Thanks.

 

Well, stock both of my LT1s (both A4s with 3.23s as you have) ran around 210-220 degrees in city driving when warmed up during summer, and will run around 195 during cool weather. Interstate driving during cool weather (under 70 degrees) they will keep around 180 degrees. Oil pressure in both of mine cold would sit around 50PSI. Once warmed up about 20-25 PSI at idle, cruising 40mph around 50-60psi.

 

I have two '94 Z-28's both have 30K miles and idle hot 20psi 40-45psi hot @2500rpm.

 

It may depend on the type of oil you have also, I have Mobil 1 15W-50 and a 160* thermo and run close to the third dash and in traffic or slow driving it drops to between the first dash and the middle but I have heard this is true with a lot of people that run 15W-50. When I had nasty dealer 5W-30 with stock thermo I am almost positive it was around the same numbers that cat posted.
