what does a stock A4 LT1 produce for HP? engine? and to the wheels?

 

Stock LT1 is rated for 275hp at the flywheel. Assuming an 18% loss through the driveline with an A4 you are looking at about 225 to the rear wheels.

 

i have a 97 z28 a4 and i was making 241 hp and 281tq 100% stock

 

Its always possible that GM rated the F-bodies engine just a few HP lower than the Vettes for marketing reasons. They wouldn't want a car that is half the price putting out the same hp

 

so around 250 to the rear wheels?

 

Around 240 in a A4. Around 250 - 260 in a M6 ... Internet numbers are always high though lol

 

my buddy last week with a CAI and only an open borla did 249RWHP through an A4 on a dynojet

You'll find 240-250 rwhp seems to be the norm for auto LT1s in good running order. That would indicate to me the Fbody LT1s were underrated and really putting out the same 300ish hp as the Vette LT1s (which they should seeing as the compression, heads, cam, etc was the same as the Vette, just slightly different exhaust and air filter/air intake routing)...
