At WOT with brand new 255/50's 1-2 shift my tires will spin pretty good a bit longer than a chirp. With my old tires 245/50's at 3/4 throttle I could get sideways. It's an A4-only mods that I know of are muffler and tailpipes removed, and poly trans mount.

 

What kind of tires are they?

 

old ones were michelin pilots, these are sumitomo htrz

 

my 95 z28, stock will fishtail 1-2

 

Type of tires, road conditions/surface, heat will all play a factor.

 

When my car was bone stock and running 14.7@95, it would chirp 3rd gear. This was with your avg 400 treadwear tires in the middle of the summer. Thought that was cool and all, till my trans went a couple weeks after.

 

i have been told having a poly trans mount without motor mounts can break the tailshaft housing on the trans

 

I have the spohn TQ arm that takes the mount off the tailshaft and locates it to the body. Couple that with poly tranny and motor mounts and it vibrates pretty good.

 

My 3.42 A4 with a tune would CHIRP at less than 1/2 throttle. When stock I couldn't even spin the tires from a stop though. I have good tires, but still. Dynoed 231/270 Bone stock. (pitiful)

 

I can absolutely melt my tires off from a dead stop.
