Starting sometimes??
 

So about a month ago or so my car started acting up when I would go to start it. The engine would not crank because the stater was not engaging long enough. I would have to try several times to get it to fire up.

So I got a new starter and for a week after the car seemed to be starting up fine. It started doing it again, but not as bad as before.

The other night it did it, but I was able to start it up and drive it home. The next evening, Friday, I tried to start it several times and nothing, not even the starter trying to engage. No noise except for the fuel pump and stuff. My dad tried to start it a couple hours later and nothing.

The next day I started it and it started up fine. I started it two or three times and moved it to wash it and it was fine. Then later on I started it to get gas and it did not start, no noise from the starter...

Soo anyways I'm wondering what it could possibly be? Im thinking maybe the spark plugs or Opti they haven't been changed in a while but I already have the parts. Thanks for any help

Clean and tighten battery and all connections is where I would start.

The plugs and Opti are not going to prevent the starter from engaging and cranking. Is the "SECURITY" light on/flashing when the problem occurs?

Beyond that, wiring/ground problems or ignition switch problems.

No, the security light is not on but I've had problems with that before. I'm going to mess with the battery later.
