Starting Problem Plz Help

It takes about 10 Seconds or atleast 3 tries to start my 94 Z28 everyday. It Kicks over just fine Just takes a while, and when it finally Starts It seems to rev to just under 2000 RPM, then is absolutly fine no problems. I havn't ran for error codes. If someone could plz help me in learning how to run the codes and or Diagnos the problem it would be greatly appreciated. Autozone tells me the only have an OBDII cheker, and that you use a paper clip and count how many times your light blinks. If someone could please help me figure that out it would be great.

I'm not sure the paper clip method can be used and then you can relay the codes to just about anybody on here to tell you what they are if you have no way of knowing. Use a paper clip and ground out a certain two terminals (can't remember off the top of my head which ones but maybe somebody else can). Turn your key to the "on" position not start. The check engine light will start blinking. It should blink pause the blink, blink. This is code 12 which will always be there if the car is not running. It should do this three times then go to the next code if there is one. Count the number of blinks before the pause and after it and write them down. Remember it will flash the codes three times before moving on to the next one.

i forgot to mention that you probably only need a good tune up if you haven't done one in awhile to fix that long start

No clue about the paper clip thing. I believe that only works for 93's though. Try a search on Scanning for Codes and I'm sure it will come up. As far as starting the car, it sounds like a fuel problem to me. I'd put a fuel pressure guage on it and see how fast it bleeds off pressure.
