starter/header question

i just got done doing mt LT install and i hook the battery back up and the damn engine starts to turn over but since i didnt have the key in it didntr start. so i unhook the battery witch btw got a little hot. so i got all pissed off and decided to wait and figure out what was wrong. so today i go out there to check out the starter hook up and i have it hooked up right. so what could be tellign the starter to kick over when when the key is not in. could the starter have gone bad? or is there a wire that could be screwed

Re: starter/header question

You need to make sure the two wires on the starter arent touching each other.

Yup, i had that problem once they were touching. I would double check to make sure you have them on right and they arent touching.
