started my DIY head porting

Coming out pretty good. I ordered some tappered sanding rolls but they havn't come in yet, so I can't get into the detailed stuff yet. I'm going for #'s close to LE1 for my hotcam.

Good luck. Just remember less is more and shape is more important than volume.

ya I practiced a ton on a set of spare heads, and I know to stay off the floor. I've also been studying tons of LE head pics and head porting books.

I'm going to be port matching these and not gasket matching.

Also remember that most of the restriction in a stock head is the valve and the few inches either side of it. Address this before you even think about the pushrod pinch. Also if possible get them flowed in stages as you work.
