SS springs

my friend will give me his stock SS springs. they are off of a 2002. what are the differences between these springs and my stock 100k mile springs? stiffer? smoother?

They are stiffer, but ride doesnt suffer much, but handling with the shocks goes WAY up. and you get a bit of lowering too.
