sputter

i put car in 6th and at about 1k-2k rpm at half throttle is sputters horrendously and shakes the whole car. it also seems to do this in other gears as well until i give it more than 75% throttle. what gives, anywho, i got the car scanned and everything checks out ok, its just that im running EXTREMELY rich. i also know that i have an exhaust leak and a slight leak in my intake elbow. im stumped, you name it ive replaced it. somebody, anybody?

Do you feel it in the stick, like its coming from the driveline or just from the engine?

sounds like a common problem that most of us have. Problem is that it could be so many things. I think your o2's might be bad. Do a search for "miss" or "low rpm" in the lt1 section. There numerous posts on it.

Yeah the torn elbow will, I thought you had already replaced it though. It's easy to diagnos, just tape up the cracked area really well with some electrical tape and then go do a test drive.

Torn elbow.

Bad MAF.

Bad MAP.

Bad TPS.

These are some of the causes of the low rpm miss.
