spark knock
 

I installed my jethot LT's last fall and noticed how close they hang to the front cross member on the passenger side, maybe half inch clearence.

Now there is only a 1/8 between and they even hit when the car idles. And when I get on it you can feel it rest right on the cross member ( feels like solid motor mounts).

I''m going to replace the mounts with poly ones but I went to the track yesterday and only went 12.75 at 110. New best but was down 2 mph. Only went once last year and went 12.90 at 112mph. And I could only muster a 1.83 60ft compared to a 1.72 before.

Do you think there was spark knock slowing me down????

its possible, but seems like it would kill power more then that if it were. there's only one way to know for sure and thats to be monitering knock retard when you are racing or just flooring it on the street. try and find someone at your track or in your area that has a scan tool/laptop and will go for a ride w/you and moniter knock retard while your driving.
