I have a 1997 T/A with pacesetter longtubes, cai, and tb bypass. Today my computer threw a code. The number is P1441, what does that code involve and how can I fix it?

 

P1441 Evaporative Emissions (EVAP) system flow during non-purge

It mean the PCM is seeing vacuum flow to the vapor canister when it is not supposed to. You might have the vacuum hoses connected backwards on the EVAP solenoid, the solenoid could be bad or a few other things.

Item 11 in this diagram is what is responsible for reporting this. Even it could have a problem.

 

I had that code for a long time. Make sure your lines are clear. Mine turned out to be pieces of charcoal plugging the purge solenoid valve. I got another from a junkyard and replaced the canister. The SES turned off while driving after that.
