SLP Products

I've been looking at a lot of SLP products and was just thinking about getting the loudmouth and the Lt1 inst. kit and was wondering how much welding is needed on the loudmouth? Is it possible to do it without welding???

Anyone use SLP's shifter for 6sp?? Just wondering about how good it is, and how easy it is to install.

I'm pretty sure you won't have to weld anything for the loudmouth. As for the shifter, i never heard anything about it. I think the best 3 would be the Pro 5.0, B&M ripper, and Hurst. All of them i hear are pretty good. I have read more good stuff then any of the others about the pro 5.0, thats why i went with it. I have no complaints. Its a night and day difference from stock.

SLP makes some great stuff, buy their products with confidence

As for the SLP shifter, I have it and it's an improvement over the stock Z shifter; but I got mine for free. If I were going to buy a new shifter, I would recommend saving up for one of the previous 3 that were mentioned over the SLP one.

Here is a thread explaining some of the why's.

The Loud Mouth is a direct bolt up from the cat back. Unless someone welded to the cat you can bolt it all up yourself, I just had mine welded since I don't plan on taking it off.

I for one have always liked SLP products and have never had any problems with them. The LM is sweet as hell, and sounds incredible on LT1's. If I didn't have duals, I would have the LM.

I just wanted to say that SLP products are top notch and they deliver FAST. I ordered a header installation kit from them and it was here 2 days later. That's freakin' awesome.

so I should have no problem installing the LM myself because i can't weld, and have limited experience working on cars...

I'm not looking for the best shifter out there..just something much better than stock and saw the SLP shifter was only like 100 or so

I really like SLPs products a lot. I have bought the following with no complaints:
Cold Air
Flywheel
Pressure Plate
T/O Wheels and tires
T/O Tires
T/O Shocks and springs
Short Headers
Cat Back
Short Stick
1le Trans Mount
Floormats

I am suprised at the fast comment though. My standard orders usually take 2-3 weeks consistantly. My experience has been that it takes a full 7 days from when the order is placed to when it is shipped. Never tried to pay to get it quicker though. Always got exactly what I ordered in excellent condition.

I would recommend any of their products without hesitation.

I never paid extra for fast delivery either. That's weird. Both times, they have been extremely fast to deliver to me.

Well is it better than stock?? I don't really race my car on a strip or anything...it's a daily driver that I just happen to drive pretty fast....just looking for something better than stock that i can afford with no problems, but i'll go check the parts for sale area to see if I can find something used

I just wanted to say also that SLP makes quality products and are GREAT to deal with(from my experiences). I so far have bought about $2000 of their products.

As long as you don't have the SLP banner across the top of your windshield...

No welding is required for the Loudmouth and LT1 installation kit. You just need to remove the stock system (1 cut makes it easier to pull down) and bolt everything together. I don't think we've sold an SLP shifter yet but I've talked to a few customers that are using it and they've been pretty happy.

btw- if your thinking about ordering the Loudmouth soon we have it for $319.99 with free shipping. This is good through 11/16.

as far as the shipping goes, it just depends on where you live. The closer you are to N.J. the faster you will get your items.
