Slow Acceleration

I have noticed that when i punch the gas from a stop i am barley getting any tire spin( tires arbt even in good shape 245/16). I know i have low gears 2.32 but i would think they should be putting off a cloud of smoke when i floored it. She seem to be running strong also the engine shakes a lil at idel.
If you all could suggest some things to check that would be great!

Car is all stock (K&N filter)

I am going to put on LT JetHot headers and new wires and plugs this weekend

? Does the coil have to be mounted in the stock location?

I got a new one and have it mounted ontop of the air pump i think...should it be mounted to the modual?

well one of the first things i'd due to try and solve 2 of ur problems would be to change ur Fuel filter. This may be part of ur accelerating problem, if its old and clogged chances are ur only getting a portion of the fuel delivery you should be getting. second off are ur tires under preesure wise? that be a simple thing to check for. as far as the coil goes theres no LTs that i know of where u have to relocate ur coil. it should just be bolted to the driverside head, above the air pump. Make sure wher doing ur wires to keep them as far from the headers as possible. It sucks finding out a couple day later that u burned up some wires due to inadervtent carlessness

Hope this helps!

well

The fuel filter is like 1 Mo old because i changed the pump, ill change it agin today incase maybe i got some dirt in there during the change.

I have the coil on the air pump because at the time the old 1 went out i had no tools so i just screwd it to the pump. I makes a ticking sound...got a new one and same thing...is that normal someone said it was.

I guess ill post agin if the filter wires and plugs dont help

and yes i have the correct tire Psi.

Thanks
