SLEEPER time
SLEEPER time
Time to make the Formy back into a sleeper. Can't seem to find many races with the skinnies and dump. I need some help on the plans. Here's whats in mind:
1. Cam "kit" combination motorports (need something that will lope with cutout open, but be quiet enough with it closed to pass as a v6) Suggestions?
2. Jet hot Long tubes, custom made y-pipe.
3. Quiet catback. (will a v6 work, because no matter what I'm going to have a single tip)
4. 2800-3000 stall. Probably midwest.
5. Tranny cooler.
6. Since I've got an extra pair of 15x8 telstars, put them up front with some 255 or 265 tires.
7. Keep the nittos out back.
8. DMH electric cutout.
I want the exhaust quiet enough that people will think I'm at v6 at idle or while cruising (less than 2,000rpms), but with the cutout open I want them to know it's cammed. Let me know what you think.

Well i don't know about 1 tip. But what about using the SLP 2otl exhaust. Most people don't know that it is a performance exhaust by looking at it. It also isn't to loud i hear. Maybe you could go with the 221/227xe cam from combination motorsports. It has a very nice lift to it.
As for point #6, I'd have to say use V6 rims instead of Telstars. While the Telstars aren't huge, they would still make me wonder what other work was done to the car. The stock V6 rims(use factory 16x8 rims that SLP sells for $200/entire set) and I think it would pass for stock alot easier.
Get the SLP dual/dual muffler. At idle you can barely hear it, and at full throttle it gives a nice tone, but not too loud. I've had guys ask me if my TA is a v-6 because they can't hear anything. Granted my car doesn't have too major of mods, but it was loud as crap when I had my flowmaster(was on the car when I purchased it). Now it is nice and quiet, and the SLP gave me a significant power boost over the crappy "chokemaster".
