skipping the cat

probably a stupid question but doing exhaust on 95 t/a from y-pipe back can somebody recommend a y-pipe and skipping the cat will there be any probs with that. will it sound different or throw any codes sorry for the stupid question

It will sound different, it will be a bit more raspy, and depending on what muffler your using, it will most likely pop more on deceleration. Since you're a 95 and you're OBDI, you don't have rear O2 sensors, so no codes. I'm not sure which y-pipe is a good one, I had a custom one on my Camaro and my TA's came with the headers, but I'm sure someone else can help you with that.
