skip water pump?

skip water pump?

Alright guys, I have the opti on and am about to put the belt on, can I fire her up without putting on the waterpump/fans just to make sure everything is alright?

I think you can start it up to make sure it starts but I wouldnt really RUN it, you know? Just be careful.

so i started her up, the car runs then dies after 10 seconds, is this just because the cold air intake, fans and waterpump arent attached? should i go ahead with putting the waterpump back on?

You should at least have your MAF connected.....
