single wire 02 sensor, '93 guys come on down

Im looking for the o2 extensions b/c of my LT install, and all i seem to come across is the flat 4 wire and square connectors, i have no idea what to do with this, also the shop by me, ordered NGK o2s so i could see them and they have a 4 prong flat connector even though the computer said it was for a '93. not sure what to do , any suggestions would be appreciated.

I spliced another piece of wire into the wire on the O2. Works fine.

That's what I did on my LT install too... Worked fine.

I ordered my extensions through Casper Electronics. They will make anything you want, and the cost isn't bad at all.

where did u attach it to? (im not quite sure what the diff is between the single wire and 4 wire ones) do u mean u just spliced on a 4 prong connector?

I don't remember what the connector was like but it doesn't matter. Cut the wire coming off the sensor and splice in a long enough piece of wire to reach the bung. If you have more than 1 wire you have the wrong O2 sensor.

93 comes with a non heated sensor. It also is not a wide band sensor. The other wires you speak of are for later models with heated sensors etc. Ours are just run of the mill. If you do splice wires me sure you solder them. The sensors are used to transmit millivolts so a twist splice might skew the readings. On the other hand if you are thinking of getting an air/fuel ratio gauge you do not have to buy a seperate sensor for it to work, the gauge doesn't work with wide band sensors...

so if i were to buy an a/f ratio gauge, all i would have to do is splice in another wire and run it to the gauge?

Get AC/Delco O2's. Get extentions from Thunder Racing.
