Should I run 93 octane in my Z?

I never have since I got it in November... I'm going to start doing some mods this summer but right now it's completley stock right down to the paper air filter. So 93 or 87?

93 all the way...even with these high gas prices. i tried running 87 one time just because i though i was saving a few pennies, my car knocked like a diesel. put some fuel treatment in it and filled back up with 93 and no more knocking after that. i feel stupid for even trying to switch to 87... ran like crap, but some may have better experiences with it. i sure didnt.

should always run 93, even stock. my friend tried to run 87 to save money on gas, and his car ran crappy. I've always used 93 or 94 when gas was cheaper.

93. Don't want to run the risk of detonation with lower octane fuel.

Our cars are designed for 91+

I had no problems when I ran my car on 87, but I did notice a power increase and an increase in gas mileage when I ran 93. I guess the knock sensor was doing its job.

It should say on the fill/cap door "Premium Fuel Recommended". You would only save like 3.00+/- per fill up and to fix the problem with a bottle of good fuel treatment is going to cost about $5, so your not going to save $$ at all. Use the good stuff.
