see if anyone can diagnose this!!

before, and noone seems to know the answer, but i'll try anyway.

when, i first bought my car, it would not go into reverse..it felt "blocked off"..it would not attempt to go into reverse.
one day it just went in fine and has gone in fine ever since. ..almost immediately after it started going into reverse, it would not go into 3rd..it felt "blocked off"...all of a sudden , today it started shifting into 3rd perfectly...now it fells as if 5th is "blocked off"..what is causing this.

i have a 94 t/a with a six speed

You could possibly have a bent/worn shift fork. The only way to find out is to tear it apart unfortunately.

When was the last time the trans fluid was changed. Could be fork damage. I'm also wondering if it could be something with the CAGS... but that would only affect 2nd & 3rd. TTT
