Question Running Temperature

Here's a picture of the various temperature gauges.

I have a 93 Camaro LT1 and am trying to make it ready for the AZ summer without killing its winter performance/health. After my cooling system work (160 degree thermostat, 25% coolant/75 water ratio, Water Wetter added), the car runs at 55 mph with the needle slightly above the 1/8th mark (Like in the picture) when it's 50 degrees outside. Before the work, it would run at about the 1/4 mark. Is the new running temp too low? Does anyone have any information regarding the temperature each mark indicates? I've read that the gauge isn't consistent from mark to mark, so you can't just do the math by looking at the 100 and 260 marks.

Thanks in advance for any responses!

Our stock gauges are useless and higly INaccurate. I installed a Autometer water temp gauge. Screws right into the block where the stock sender was. In california I run about 175-185 all the time with the same amount of coolant/water/ww.

Your situation sounds ok. The gauges cannot be expected to be totally accurate. Use a scannner to look at what temp the computer is seeing and compare that to the gauge.
